Sometimes a glittering career hides some of the darkest tales. Lolo Jones, athlete of the USA and World hurdles, has earned this status after many years of dedication and endurance. Jones is a child born into a family of no mothers and had five children living suffering from poverty and hardships when she was a kid, endured an extremely challenging childhood. Her mom lived in the street and was even living in the cellar of a church in the area at one point. Jones was required to relocate into a new school each year up until her time in high school due to this sporadic lifestyle. Jones moved away from her mother and moved to Theodore Roosevelt so that her to focus on her track interest. Her family was split up in high school so she could be focused on her academics. Jones was awarded the Gatorade track and field Athlete-of-the year award at high school. As a young cellist, Jones was also part of the school's orchestra. As she began college, Jones proved to be one of the most skilled hurdlers. In 2002, she was the winning athlete in the 100-meter hurdles at the NCAA Track & Field Championship. Jones also was a part of the second-placed team in the 100-meter Relay event. Jones won both the indoor hurdles and the outdoor hurdles events at the NCAA Championship in 2003. Jones started her track career in 2005 when she graduated from university. She was the winner of each of the Torino Memorial and the Heusden Track competitions in the same year.

Brandt born in Cape Town South Africa with her parents and siblings relocated from Cape Town South Africa to Auckland New Zealand when she was in her late teens. The talent of Brandt was recognized in Auckland by the local cast director Brandt. Brandt was cast as a part of Naevia in her role on the Starz series Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. As a result of her work alongside Steven S. D Knight's and Sam Raimi's producers, she became an international actor. Mazikeen is a DC Comics/Vertigo role model who appeared on Netflix's cult series Lucifer. The show ran for six years. Forbes has ranked Lucifer, the world's most-watched series in 2021. Brandt's next appearance will be in a six-episode Walking Dead spin-off in 2024, opposite Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurrira. Other Netflix projects include the animated adult comedy Captain Fall starring Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan, Chris Meloni. This will premiere in the month of July 2023. Lesley-Ann Brandt is an South African actress, born in Cape town on the 2nd of December 1981. Her talent is impressive as a New Zealander actor. Lesley Brandt, along with the rest of her family, relocated into Auckland New Zealand back in 1999. In Auckland Brandt's first job, she was an agent for sales, and later was made an IT expert. Following a couple of modeling projects, Lesley appeared in many commercials. In 2008, she completed her studies and enrolled in Meisner method of study. Her first acting job was with the New Zealand TV series Diplomatic Immunity. Lesley Brandt has shown up on The New Zealand TV drama series Shortland Street in a visiting role as a supporting character. She also appeared on a sci-fi drama arrangement This Is Not My Life which is based upon the anecdotal town of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt was cast in the Television show Spartacus: Blood and Sand as Naevia who was a teen hostage, and was later featured in the Spartacus: Gods of the Arena miniseries.
